The study “Safe Online 2024”, conducted on behalf of the national government, shows that Dutch people now feel safer on the street than online. This feeling of insecurity is largely caused by cybercrime, of which two different forms can be distinguished: crime with computers as a means and with computers as a target.
On behalf of the Police, we were given the challenging task of producing a powerful story that creates awareness about the seriousness of cybercrime and the importance of online security. The film opens with an everyday situation in which the main character, a young professional, carries out his daily activities on his computer. Suddenly he becomes a victim of cybercrime, where his personal information is stolen and misused for fraudulent purposes. Through exciting action scenes and poignant emotional moments, we brought the viewer closer to the reality of cybercrime and the damage it can cause.
